Five re:Invent talks not to miss

Attendees of this year’s re:Invent conference have over 250 sessions to choose from. And unless Amazon hands out time machines at the keynote address, nobody can make it to all of them. So if you’re headed to Vegas next month, you’ll have some decisions to make.

Picking which sessions to attend will depend on how you use AWS and what you’d like to learn—and chances are, your perfect schedule won’t look quite like anybody else’s. But no matter what you’re building with AWS, managing your costs will always be key to scaling effectively.

Here are our top picks for cost management sessions not to miss:

ISM208 – The Science of Saving with AWS Reserved Instances

Join our Chief Customer Officer and Co-Founder J.R. Storment as he discusses strategies and tools for mastering one of your most powerful cost-saving mechanisms: Reserved Instances. J.R. will be walking through all that you’ll need to know to make the most of RIs—from the basics of reservation purchasing mechanics, to tales of how scaled organizations have built polished portfolios. Whether you’re using thousands of RIs or are just getting started, you’ll leave this session with new insight into making the most of your reservations.

Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Delfino 4105
